Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Bagdogra To Phunsoling

Receive from Bagdogra Airport and Transfers to Phuntsholing. Doimmigration formalities, take rest or visit local market.

Dinner and overnight stay in Phuntsholing,

Day 2: Phuntsholing –Paro(160 kms)

Morning have breakfast and start journey to Paro.

Do sightseeing on the way and have lunch. Reach hotel take restand evening visit local market.

Day -3-Paro-Punakha (140 kms)

After breakfast transfer to Paro. Later visit Ta Dzong – National Museum withan excellent collection of arts, relics, religious Thangkha. Rinpung Dzong – Meaning”fortress of the heap of jewels”and visit KyichuLhakhang &Taktsang Monastery- called “Tigers Nest “and visit DrukgyelDzong after lunch move to Punakha. On theway visit Dochula pass.

Arrive at Punakha and take rest in hotel.

Day 4: Punakha sightseeing and move to Thimphu (95 kms)

Morning breakfast and start journey to sight seen of Punnakha Dzong and see the old lhakangs after sight seen have lunch and move to Thimphu while coming,you can see the beauty of Bhutan.

Late evening checkin and take rest in hotel.

Day-5-Thimphu sightseen

After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), National Memorial Chorten (Monument) and Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Changangkha Lhakhang, Taking Preserve Centre, the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here.

Dinner and Overnight stay at Thimphu

Day 6: Bhutan to Bagdogra/Phunsoling

Early morning by 5:00 am check out and depart for Bagdogra. (BF can be taken along the way).

Trip concludes with a drop at Bagdogra Airport.

The rich culture & heritage of Bhutan is another area where one can take pride in learning.

The Kira is the national dress for women in Bhutan. It is an ankle-length dress consisting of a rectangular piece of woven fabric. It is wrapped and folded around the body and is pinned at both shoulders, usually with silver broaches, and bound at the waist with a long belt which is known as a Kera. The Kira is usually worn with a long-sleeved blouse inside known as Wonju and a short jacket or Tego. The men wear aknee-length robe called the Gho tied at the waist by a cloth belt known as the Kera.
