Jog Falls, createdby the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 253 meters (829 ft) it is thehighest plunge waterfall in India. It is also known as Gersoppa Falls or JogadaGundi, located in Shimoga. The segmented falls are a major attraction, riverSharavathi splits up into four different tracks called Raja (King), Rani(Queen), Roarer and Rocket, these names represent their characteristics.

After breakfast, visitthe Murudeshwar Shiva templ. This temple has the tallest Shiva idol in theworld . The idol towers 123 feet into the sky and can be viewed from a verylong distance from the Arabian Sea. This sacred place presents some beautifulcarvings and statues, which has a history that dates back to a few centuries(Threthayuga yuga). Bounded by the Arabian Sea and rolling hills of WesternGhats, the place is a favorite picnic spot.
