Day 1

SRINAGAR:

Arrive Srinagar and transfers to your deluxe house boat, afternoon enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal lake. Visit Char chinar. Floating vegetable gardens and see some handicraft demonstration. Evening free for shopping. Dinner& overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

SRINAGAR- GULMARG- (52Kms.)

Leave after breakfast for full day excursion (with pack lunch) to Gulmarg” meadow of wild flower” lies in the west of Srinagar at a distance of 56 kms. On an altitude of 2730 mts. Above sea level, snow-capped mountain are all around one can even have a view of nanga par bat on a clear sunny day. It is premier winter sports ski resorts for skiers with one of the world’s highest 18 hole golf courses. For joy seekers, cable car presently up to khilanmarg and is Asia long run cable car ride aprox. 5 kms. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3

GULMARG- PAHALGAM

Breakfast. Depart for Pahalgam, the valley of shepherds via Srinagar (4 hrs.) visit the ruins of an 1100 years old temple of lord Vishnu. Drive along the Lidder river. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to your hotel.

Day 4

PAHALGAM- SRINAGAR

Breakfast. Proceed to (3 hrs.) arrive and transfer to your houseboat. After lunch visit the Mughal garden of Nishat and Shalimar, a carpet weaving factory and the Shankracharya temple .Dinner& overnight stay at hotel.

Transfers from Pahalgam to Srinagar. Enroute visiting the Awantipura Ruins of 9th Century & Mattan Temple Complex. In Afternoon, visit Mogul Gardens “Nishat” (The Garden of Pleasure) and “Shalimar” (Abode of All).

Day 5

SRINAGAR- SONMARG- SRINAGAR

Leave after breakfast for full day excursion to Sonmarg” the meadow of gold” 87 kms. From Srinagar in the north- east of Srinagar at an altitude of 3000 mts. Above sea level. The place offers incredible scenic beauty (while driving to Sonmarg) dense pine forests. Gigantic mountain. Evening return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6

SRINAGAR

Breakfast, transfer to the airport & back home with wonderful memories of your trip.

End of tour.

Dal Lake:

This could well be Srinagars lifeline and thefavourite site of all honeymooners. Get onboard one of the shikaras to goaround the lake – they come with really pretty names, example – HoneymoonLovers, The Paradise, Love Heaven and the likes! Along the shoreline is theboulevard that is home to numerous shops, hotels, gardens and parks.

Jama Masjid:

Definitely one of the most active mosques inSrinagar, Jami Masjid owes its origin to 3 Mughal rulers. It is also created inwood and is noted for its 370 towering pillars supporting the roof, each pillarmade of one deodar tree truck! Enter the mosque through its south gate and takea walk through the spacious green garden.

Hari Parbat Fort:

Another Mughal construction, it stands onthe hill by the same name and commands an awesome view of the city. It speaksthe legend of how the demon Jalodbhava was crushed under this hill, whenGoddess Sati dropped a pebble on his head, which expanded to become the massiveHari Parbat. As such it is also home to several religious shrines, includingthe shrine of Makhdum Sahib. Located a little away from thisis the Masjid of Akhund Mullah built in limestone. So reveredis this site that locals believe that over 30 crores Hindu Gods and Goddessesreside here!

Shankaracharya Temple:

Located on the Shankaracharya Hill,this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is accessible by a flight of stairs.It overlooks the Kashmir Valley and its inner sanctum has Persian inscriptions.The original dome-shaped ceiling has been replaced by a more modern ceiling.

Shalimar Bagh:

Built by Jehangir for his wife Nur Jehan,Shalimar Garden is a wonderful combination of gardens and lakes. It has fourterraces, rising above each other as steps and has a canal, built with polishedstones, that is supplied water from the Harwan.

Harwan:

Located near the Harwan Village, this garden hasremnants dating to the Buddhist era. The ornamented tiles placed here havedepictions of the attire of people, as trousers, caps and turbans.

Nishat Bagh:

Located on the banks of the Dal Lake againtthe Zabarwan Mountains, Nishat Bagh, or Garden of Bliss, is known for its panoramicviews of the Pir Panjal Range.

Chasma Shahi:

Originally designed by Shah Jehan, ChasmaShahi is a strikingly made terrace garden commanding superb views of the DalLake and the mountains nearby. The cool spring water flowing here is believedto be extremely refreshing.

Pari Mahal:

This was at one time the Royal Observatory.Located next to Chashma Shahi, it is a well-laid out garden, located almost onthe ridge of the mountains overlooking the Dal Lake. Visit it at night when itis brilliantly illuminated.

Pratap Singh Museum:

Located in Lal Mandi, this museumhouses an interesting collection of Kashmiri exhibits, including theillustrated tiles found near Harwan.

Wular Lake:

Believed to the largest freshwater lake inAsia, the Wular Lake changes its character every few miles! The Jhelum Riverflows into the lake, traverses about 40 kms along Srinagar and then flows outagain.

Gulmarg:

More than the place, it is the journey to Gulmargthat will woo you – roads lined with poplars overlook rice terraces. Gulmarg isnot just a mountain resort, it is a high golf course and one of the best skiresorts in the country. En route to Gulmarg, stop at the View Point,so called because of the panoramic views of the snow-clad mountains that itoffers.

Pahalgam:

Located at the confluence of the Lidder andSheshnag Rivers, Pahalgam literally translates into The Valley of theShepherds. It is a cool mountain resort with wonderful picnic spots, the mostpopular being the pine-clad Baisaran and Hajan.Explore Pahalgam on horseback, enjoy a session of golf at the Clubor try yourhand at angling at the Lidder River.

Sonamarg:

Literally meaning The Meadow of Gold, Sonamarg isset against the backdrop of snow-clad mountains. The Sindh River that meandersthrough it is one of the best places to catch the trout and mahaseer. Sonamargforms the base for trekking enthusiasts looking to traverse through themountain lakes Vishansar, Kishansar, Gadsar, Satsar and Gangabal.
